Narok County Commissioner, Isaac Masinde has put on notice cattle rustlers, terrorizing residents in some parts of the county.
Speaking at Emurua Dikirr Sub-county, during the Mashujaa Day celebration, Masinde said that the government will take stern action against anyone found engaging in cattle rustling in the area.
“Those who are engaging themselves in cattle rustling in the area, will be prosecuted in a court of law,” said Masinde.
The CC said police will mount operations, to weed out rustling in Transmara East, West, and South, urging the Sub-county Security Committee to curb criminal activities in the area within two weeks.
“I am asking the security Subcommittee to sit down and engage, to bring to an end to insecurity issues in the areas,” added Masinde.
Masinde noted that cattle rustling is a thing of the past and people should not engage in livestock theft.
