A 39-year-old man died on the spot after a tree they were cutting fell on him accidentally at Kitende village, Kalongo sub-location, Kiko location in Kilungu Sub-county.
The man who is yet to be identified, was in a group of people cutting a tree at 5pm on Friday when it accidentally fell on him.
“The 39 year old man who was among a group of people cutting a tree, died instantly when the tree fell on him and got trapped under the fallen tree,” said Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan when confirming the incident to KNA.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kilungu Sub-county hospital mortuary to await a post mortem examination.
