Politicians urged to campaign peacefully 

Kuresoi North Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Albanos Diso and his Molo counterpart, Josephat Mutisya have urged politicians to conduct peaceful campaigns ahead of August 9th general election.

Speaking during a baraza at Tombo area in Kuresoi North, Diso observed that the area security agencies are keenly watching their ways and if any of them goes against the law action will be taken against them.

Diso noted that rogue politicians have been put on notice and if any one utters incitement remarks, talk ill of other aspirants in a manner likely to cause chaos will not be tolerated but dealt with in accordance to the law.

Mutisya on his part said that the security agencies have put in place stringent measures to curb any form of violence adding that there are intensified patrols that will go a long way in ensuring that the areas are safe during and even after the election.

He assured both the aspirants and the locals of their safety saying that they should abide by the laws and freely share information with the police officers of any security issue that requires to be addressed promptly.

The locals were advised not to fall trap of the rogue politicians fond of giving bribes but instead listen to their promises and make sober decisions on the voting day.

Other issues discussed during the baraza included improving of social amenities, infrastructure development, and kazi mtaani program.
