President Ruto asked to choose people of integrity in his government

Church leaders have called on President William Ruto to pick people with a clean track record to serve in his administration.

Speaking at a Bungoma church after a three-day Western Region Apostolic Summit program, Apostle David Juma of Alliance of Apostolic Churches and Ministries (AACM) said that it will be prudent for the President to pick leaders of integrity so that they help in advancing his agenda and contribute to the smooth running of government.

Apostle Juma commended President Ruto for working closely with the Church and being on the forefront to preach peace.

“I thank both our immediate former President Uhuru Kenyatta and the current Head of State Ruto for the smooth transition,” Juma added, saying that Kenya has demonstrated she has matured as a democracy.

Apostle Juma pointed out that President Ruto will only succeed if he appoints people who have good character and can serve in the government competently.

Apostle Juma said hailed the partnership among spiritual fathers and church leaders in the western region during the apostolic summit.

“It has been a moment for equipping and empowering leaders, activating and aligning the elect to their apostolic and prophetic role in the western region,” he said.

Apostle Juma urged the government to help revive collapsed industries in the region to help in creating employment opportunities for the youth.

“The church plays a very key role in the community. I therefore ask church leaders who are not even part of this team but in their own capacity as men of God to help in directing and guiding the community,” he said.

He assured President Ruto of the support by the clergy.

Among the high profile church leaders that were part of the Western region apostolic summit included Bishops, Emmanuel Mayeku, Fred Ogara, Cleophas Matete, Patrick Okumu, Jackson Ongeri, Pastor Ken Ogalle and Apostle John Wesley Musyoka.
