Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has unveiled list of eight nominees to his county executive and forwarded the names to the County Assembly for vetting.
Sang said the person’s nominated to serve are men and women of impeccable credentials with experience to lead the County well.
“The team brings with them wealth of experience, network and attributes which are critical in transforming our County,” said Sang in a press release
Two women are among those selected for the County Executive Committee Members (CEC) docket.
They include Ms. Scolastica Tuwei who will head the Education, Sports, and Youth docket while Ms. Ruth Koech has been re-appointed into her previous docket of health and Sanitation.
A former Member of County Assembly for Chemase/ Chemelil who lost in the UDA nominations in the just concluded August general election Hillary Serem has been nominated to head the Finance and planning docket while Mr. Isaiah Keter has been nominated as the CEC in charge of Public service and ICT.
Others who were nominated include Eng. Drice Rono who will head the Transport, public works and infrastructure, Dr. Bernard Kiplimo Lagat for Agriculture and Cooperative Development and CPA Alfred Kiprotich to head Trade, Tourism and Enterprise Development docket.
Among the CECs who were dropped from his cabinet include Jacob Tunai, Elly Kurgat and Grace Sugut.
The second term Governor who is keen on fulfilling his election pledges noted that his main focus will be to complete all stalled projects so that locals can enjoy the fruits of devolution.
