One person died while another one was injured after a lorry they were travelling in was involved in an accident at Kolol along the Iten-Kabarnet road.
According to the Keiyo North Sub County Police Commander Tom Makori, the lorry developed break failure as it approached the sharp corner before crushing.
The driver who was rushed to the Iten Referral hospital miraculously survived with minor injuries on his left eyebrow and left knee and was treated and discharged but his turn boy died on the spot and his body was taken to Iten mortuary by the police who arrived immediately at the scene of the accident.
The lorry KDH 120 N belonging to LAKE GAS, which was transporting gas cylinders to Kabarnet town was extensively damaged with the cylinders scattered on the road.
