The outgoing Youth Affairs PS Charles Sunkuli officially handed over to the incoming PS in the same docket Ismail Maalim Madey at the Ministry Headquarters in a ceremony witnessed by the Youth Affairs Sports and the Arts CS Ababu Namwamba.
The CS congratulated the two new Principal Secretaries in the ministry namely Ismail Maalim Madey (Youth Affairs) and his Sports and the Arts counterpart Jonathan Mueke.
Namwamba officially welcomed the duo to the Ministry where he pledged his full support in order to deliver on the Government’s agenda and that of the Ministry.
On his part, the outgoing PS Sunkuli congratulated the incoming PS and asked the CEOs of the SAGAs under the State Department and the Directors of various Directorates at the State Department to accord him the necessary support.
The incoming PS on his part thanked the president for the opportunity and committed to taking the State Department to a higher notch.
“Let’s remember that we will implement the government’s youth agenda, not just because it is the President’s agenda but because we value the youth of our nation and believe in the imperative of their empowerment,” said Madey.
