Real estate developer Mizizi Africa Homes is diversifying its portfolio to include the sale
of fully serviced prime plots with its new business concept, “Buy, We Build.” The new
venture allows current and prospective clients to buy land from the company and then
have customized units built for them, making it easier for Kenyans to own modern and
affordable homes.
According to Mizizi Africa Homes CEO George Mburu, the company will assist buyers
throughout the whole process, from site planning to when the house or investment is
ready for occupation. The size of land ranges from 50ft by 100ft to a whole block, giving
buyers limitless control over the type of house, designs, amenities, and features they
need.
Previously, Mizizi Africa Homes only developed housing units with controlled designs,
allowing users some room to customize interior designs. However, with the new
concept, the developer will arrange financing through partner banks and saccos using
the land as collateral.
The company’s first project under this plan is Bill Bright Garden estate in Diani, which is
being offered at an introductory price of Ksh. 1.25 Million for an eighth of an acre.
