A Kapenguria man Joseph Lotodomar has been with denying his child the basic right of education.
Lotodomar was charged that on September 8, 2022 at Sigor in Pokot Central Sub County within West Pokot County, being a father, he negligently denied his daughter aged 10-year-old a right to education by refusing to take her to school and pay school fees.
Appearing before Senior Magistrate Lui G.G Okwengu, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The court ordered the accused to be released on Sh10,000 cash bail or a bond of Sh 20,000 with a surety of a similar amount, failure to which he be remanded. The case will be mentioned on September 26, 2022 for pre-trial directions.
