The video of Aiko Bett’s duet with her father, Richard Bett, went viral on social media
and earned them an interview with renowned singer Kelly Clarkson.
In the video, the Kenyan girl covered Lewis Capaldi’s hit song “Someone You Loved”
with her father, which was posted on their Instagram account and received 21 million
views.
During the interview on the Kelly Clarkson Show, Aiko’s father Richard recounted how
he decided to record the video of her singing after being amazed by her abilities, and
Aiko stated that her dream was to perform alongside Clarkson.
Kelly invited Aiko to perform on her show in the US, praising her talent and
encouraging her to follow her dreams.
Nick Jonas, who was also present during the interview, was blown away by Aiko’s
performance and encouraged her to continue pursuing her passion. Aiko is also the
daughter of Nation Radio host Monique Bett.
