Dancing Chief’s Viral TikTok Video Leads to Positive Interaction with Seniors

Northern Sub-Location Assistant Chief John Ogilo Migun, who gained fame after a viral
video of him dancing was shared on social media, revealed that his superiors have had
positive reactions to his newfound fame. According to Ogilo, he received phone calls
from senior government officials who recounted the events in the viral video that was
recorded at the Alleyways Beer Garden Club, in Kisumu.
“I received calls from the Regional Commissioner (RC) to the Senior Chief, my boss and
supervisor. They are modern guys,” Ogilo revealed, noting that administration work has
moved away from the past culture where government officials never interacted with
members of the public.
Ogilo also explained that he is always working, whether on off-duty activities or in his
uniform and encouraged his fellow Administrators to follow in his footsteps and engage
their constituents on matters that are affecting their communities.
He also stated that many people have become very free with him after his dancing video
went viral, and are currently sharing very critical information about their communities.
Ogilo explained that being a chief has improved his discipline, and he even had to shave
his beard.
The Northern Sub-Location Assistant Chief is known as “Miondoko Chief” and his
responsibilities cover Kisumu Bus Park, Northern Sub-Location, Argwins Kodhek,
Ondiek, Patel Flats, Nyalenda Railway, Upper Railway derivatives, and the Police line.
