Athi River’s Shalom Community Hospital has launched an express clinic to ensure prompt healthcare to patients.
The express clinic was launched Wednesday by the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Shalom community hospital Dr. Fredrick
Onyango.
Dr. Onyango said the move was geared towards making Kenya a developed country in matters health to
minimize seeking treatment from other countries and urged medics countrywide to strive to promote good health care services.
“Let the lab technicians be keen, for example if I’m told my blood sugar level is 5.7, if the same
blood sample is taken in a hospital in London, let it be the same, because of standardization,
let us do everything as per the book, let us standardize everything that we do,” said Dr. Onyango.
Helen Onyango, Athi river Shalom Community Hospital Director said that the express clinic
was meant to offer fast and quality services to save lives and also time.
“Our theme here is service excellence, when you need care now, we give you that care now,
we guarantee experience and professional care, friendly and timely care as well as
personalized care,” she said.
The director noted that they are focusing on shifting to preventive medicine and mental health to their clients.
“Our goal is to ensure that our clients are healthy as per WHO’s vision of complete physical,
mental and social well-being. Our dedicated team is available and we’ll introduce booking
services on our website and social media platforms,” she added.
