Kenyan National Passes Away in Canada: Community Mourns the Loss of Frederick Kimani Kagia

It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of Kenyan national,
Frederick Kimani Kagia, who passed away in Toronto, Canada on December
21, 2022.

According to sources close to the family, Frederick had been residing in
Ottawa for several years before recently relocating to Toronto. He is survived
by his mother, Mary Muthoni Kagia, his father Fredrick Kagia Kimani and his
sister Vanessa Mueni. He was also a dear friend to many in both Kenya and
Canada.

The cause of death has not yet been made public, but friends and loved ones
have expressed their condolences and shared memories of Frederick through
social media. A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor on January
14, 2023 at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, located at 30 Cleary
Avenue.

In light of this tragic news, friends of the family have started a fundraising
campaign to help offset travel costs for Frederick’s family members who wish
to travel to Canada to attend the service. The GoFundMe campaign can be

This is a difficult time for Frederick’s family and loved ones, and our thoughts
and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
