Samburu County Commissioner Hendry Wafula has assured Samburu residents that the government is committed to ensuring that security is maintained in all affected areas including Loosuk, Lolomolk, Porro and Morijo in Samburu central.
Wafula made the remarks at Maralal Kenyatta stadium during Mashuja day celebration where he further urged all that security apparatus in Samburu County to cooperate with Samburu county government under governor Lati Lelelit to ensure that all development activities go on seamlessly.
In his address, Lelelit thanked the health department for their efforts in ensuring that people in Samburu County get drugs in all health facilities within the three sub counties.
The governor warned county employees on corruption, saying that anyone found culpable will be arrested and taken to court.
He called on the national government through the county commissioner to find a lasting solution over perennial conflicts between Samburu and Baringo counties.
The Governor also called on leaders in Samburu County to unite for the sake of the people and also support the national government for more development in the county.
On culture, the Governor called on Samburu residents to ensure that they maintain their identity.
