Sixty-five-year-old bishop Peter Machiuka of Harvest Christian Church in Igembe North has embarked on a 300-kilometer walk from Meru to Nairobi to deliver a message to President William Ruto to serve Kenyans equally without discrimination.
Bishop Machiuka engaged in a similar walk in 2021 to deliver a message to Ruto ahead of the General Election predicting that he would win the polls.
He said his massage was to ask the head of state serve all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliation.
“I have a prophetic message of thanksgiving that I am going to deliver to President William Ruto for the peaceful election that Kenya had and that he should serve all Kenyans equally without discrimination,” he said.
The bishop who was accompanied by five members of his church, among them his wife Julia Mukomua Machiuka and daughter Joy Ngatha Machiuka, urged Kenyans to embrace peace and support President William Ruto in order for him to deliver on his manifesto.
Speaking to the press in Embu on the third day of his journey, bishop Machiuka said that he resolved to engage in the 300-kilometer walk as a sacrifice and thanksgiving to God for the peaceful 2022 General election and for healing Kenya from Covid-19.
He said that the walk started on Sunday November 27 and that he expects to get to Nairobi on December 2nd and meet President Ruto to deliver his message to him at State House.
Machiuka added that he hopes to offer prayers at Statehouse together with the President as a thanksgiving to God for the peaceful election on August 9.
The cleric called on Kenyans from various counties to support those who have been affected by drought by donating food.
The bishop who comes from Kamweline village in Kabachi ward Igembe North urged Kenyans to remain united.
