Missing Kenyan mother and daughter found dead in a van

The Finnish news outlet Iltalehti reported on a tragedy in Tahko, where two women were found dead in a food truck on a large parking lot in the center of town.

According to Iltalehti’s information, the women had already died the previous Saturday, and their bodies were only discovered five days later when the police visited the scene.

The women, Catherine (43) and Michelle Anyango were in Tahko selling ethnic food on weekends.

One of the women was in her forties and the other was in her twenties and was a young female entrepreneur who owned the food truck business.

The police began searching for the women when they received a missing persons report on Wednesday, February 8.

The case is being investigated as a death investigation, and no criminal activity is suspected. The bodies were found by the police on February 9.

The family is asking for help to repatriate their bodies back to Kenya.
