In an effort to solve the mysterious murder of journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya,
Pakistani detectives have expanded their probe to Dubai.
A report by Dawn, a Pakistani outlet, stated that the country’s Supreme Court has
approved the Special Joint Investigation Team (SJIT) to interrogate people who
interacted with the journalist while he was in Dubai, which he had visited before flying
to Kenya.
It is estimated that the team will spend a week in Dubai before embarking on a trip to
Kenya. To help them travel, the Pakistani government reportedly released close to Ksh15
million for the SJIT team’s operations.
