Three men narrowly escaped death after the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in a road accident at Olgilai area along the Narok- Bomet highway.
Narok police commander Kizito Mutoro said the morning accident involved a Nissan Note vehicle that burst its rear right tyre causing it to waver in a zigzag manner along the road before rolling severally.
He said police officers who were on traffic checks about 100 meters away in the company of good Samaritans hurried to rescue the injured and rushed them to Ololunga Sub County hospital where they are being treated.
“The driver of the ill-fated vehicle Mose Bamba, 26, complained of chest pains while the other two occupants complained of general body pain,” he said, adding that the vehicle was towed to Ololunga police station awaiting inspection.
The police boss called on motorists to observe speed limits when driving along the smooth highway to avoid causing accidents.
“Most roads in the county are tarmacked and in good condition. If the drivers do not exercise caution of driving at the stipulated speed, then they can easily cause an accident,” he said.
