Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua is mourning the death of his elder brother James Reriani Gachagua.
The legislator who is also DP Ruto’s ardent supporter while announcing the sad news on his official Facebook page yesterday evening said Reriani passed on after a long battle with an undisclosed illness. He was aged 78.
“We thank God for the life of our eldest brother and the head of the greater Gachagua family, James Reriani Gachagua who has gone to be with the Lord after a long illness bravely borne. We give glory to the Lord for the 78 years he lived and hold his immediate family in prayers as we embark on arrangements to lay him to rest. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he wrote.
Following his death, a number of friends have condoled with the family including Nyeri County Governor Mutahi Kahiga who described the late Reriani, as a hardworking, generous and a gentleman.
