Narok gubernatorial aspirant on a ODM ticket Moitalel Ole Kenta has reiterated he will carry out a forensic audit on the money given to the county government since devolution so as to recover all funds that were misappropriated.
Kenta who spoke at Naroosura area in Narok South Sub County alleged that Governor Samuel Tunai had looted the county money that was meant for development making the people of Narok to remain poorer.
He asked residents to choose credible leaders who will spearhead development in the county that lacks basic infrastructure like good roads, quality health centers and water projects.
Kenta was accompanied by Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Charles Sunkuli and Jubilee County women representative candidate Jane Nampaso.
The gubernatorial aspirant is the current Narok North Member of Parliament where he has served for two terms since 2013 when he beat the former powerful Cabinet Secretary William Ntimama.
He will be facing off the UDA candidate, immediate former Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in charge of Labour Patrick Ntutu.
On the other hand, Ntutu while campaigning at Erangata-nderit area in Narok South Sub County asked the residents to vote for him saying he had a clean development record when he served as the Member of Parliament of Narok West Sub County.
“Among the projects I installed are improving school infrastructure, giving relief food to drought-stricken areas and building hospitals. I promise to do more projects if elected the governor of this county in the forthcoming elections,” he said.
He promised to install water projects in the dry parts of the county and empower farmers to produce more so as to boost food security in the county.
Ntutu was accompanied by Governor Tunai, who has completed his two terms and is now vying for the senatorial seat under the UDA ticket and Women representative aspirant Rebecca Tonkei.
