The State Department for Industrialization Monday officially welcomed its new Principal Secretary Dr. Juma Mukhwana who takes over from the outgoing PS Ambassador Peter Kaberia.
At the handover event conducted at the Ministry’s offices, Amb. Kaberia briefed the incoming PS on the successes, achievements, challenges, projects and policies of the Department during his tenure.
“This is a very dedicated team that I know will support you. I know you have arrived with new ideas that you will share with the staff as days go by. I urge all staff to work as a team and accord each other the necessary support for effective productivity,” he said.
On his part, Dr. Mukhwana appreciated the outgoing PS for the service he has been providing to the Kenyan people.
The incoming PS called for teamwork among government officers noting that it would ease service delivery for efficiency.
He promised to coordinate efforts by the department’s staff to attain the Kenya Kwanza’s vision of a globally competitive and sustainable industrial, enterprise and cooperative sector as outlined in the President’s manifesto.
He thanked President Dr. William Ruto for appointing him to the crucial docket and said he will use his experience to leave a long lasting impact in the state department.
Also present during the handing over ceremony were various directors and section heads in the state department.
