A clergy in Embu has called on religious organisations to stand firm and actively take their position in spiritual guidance and oversighting roles in the country.
The clergy in Embu led by ACK Diocese of Mbeere Bishop Moses Masamba challenged all the religious leaders in the country to be on the look out to pin point wrong elements of leadership both at county and at National level so that the country can head the right direction.
He also called on the religious leaders to continue praying for Kenya’s leadership and the peace of the nation.
Masimba asked clerics to actively play its spiritual guidance to the nation noting that religious leaders and the church play an integral role in any leadership of a country.
Mbeere North Member of Parliament Geoffrey Kiringa underscored the need for the church to spearhead spiritual guidance and oversighting roles in keeping the country’s leadership on check saying that the church moderates the operations and service delivery of any government.
Speaking after taking over the Constituency leadership at NG-CDF offices in Siakago town, the MP said he has injected fresh blood at the Constituency level by appointing youths to deliver on his promises.
He said his office will include the church leadership in different committees to ensure that they are able to play their oversight role effectively.
