Tharaka Nithi County Commissioner (CC) Wesley Koech has hailed the newly launched Community Health Promoters (CHP) initiative in the country.
Speaking during Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Kairuni Grounds in Maara Sub-county, Koech said CHP will go a long way in delivering medical attention deep into the villages.
The County Governor Muthomi Njuki on his part called on the local leaders to desist from any acts that may divide the residents along ethnic lines, even as they canvass for various elective posts come in 2027.
The County Woman Representative, Susan Ngugi and the Chuka/Igambang’ombe MP Patrick Munene were conspicuously missing from the event.
