Governor Lenku fires Trade CECM, appoints 7 new Chief Officers

Kajiado County Governor Joseph Lenku has dropped Trade, Investments and Enterprise Development County Executive Committee Member (CECM) Jacqueline Koin from his cabinet.

Koin formerly served as Agriculture CECM during Lenku’s first term before being transferred to the Trade docket.

In a statement released to newsrooms Thursday, Lenku nominated Leah Marias to replace the outgoing CECM.

The Governor further nominated new Chief Officers to serve in various departments namely Julius Moipai Public Health, Kintalel Kipapei Investments, Enterprise Development, James Ngugi- Environment, Natural Resources & Climate Changes, and Peter Ngao -Public Works & Energy.

Others nominees are Julius Marao, Cooperative Development, Naomi Parinkoi, Administration and Wilson Mweka Youth & Sports.

The names of the nominees have been forwarded to the County Assembly for vetting.
