Kibabii Boys kicked out of scout’s camp

Kibabii Boys High school scouts, East African reigning champions, are frustrated after being kicked out at the National Rowallan Scouts camp in Nairobi.

Following the chief assessor’s order, they were thrown out of the competing ground because they were not among the invited national contestants having landed in position 7 at the regionals in Mumias.

According to the Kenya Scouts Association 2022 policy, only 3 crews or patrols per gender are invited to the nationals competition and Kibabii boys failed to merit despite being well known champions of the East African championship.

Despite many prominent scouts’ officialls like Charles Ray Musau, former KSA Chief Commissioner, Mr Wanyela, Sheldon Marumbu, National Youth Leader and Dr. Richard Iyaya, the patrol failed to safeguard its dignity after being ordered to evacuate from the competing ground within ten minutes failure to which Rover scouts will be mandated to kick them out of the ground unconditionally

“For us to compete on a fair ground we should follow the scout law of honour,” said Mr. Julius Lelei, Kanduyi Sub-county Scout Commissioner in Bungoma.

However, the Kibabii patrol has promised to defend their titles next time, which they have been battling for many years with their home ground competitors Namachanja high school.
