KNCC Launches Membership Engagement Drive

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCC) has begun a membership
engagement drive called “Know the Member Better 2023.”
The initiative aims to support the operations, needs, and challenges of members to create a better
business environment. KNCC President Richard Ngatia led a group of the KNCC secretariat to
visit Camco Equipment Kenya Limited, where they were impressed with the effort being put into
the project.
Ngatia stated, “We have a plan to grow businesses in Kenya with support from President
William Ruto. For this to happen, there is a need to look at and tap into other opportunities. More
business opportunities translate to more employment chances for our youth.” The chamber aims
to support its members through various engagements, with the goal of “Growing your business
together.”
This expansion drive comes just days after Ngatia was appointed as a member of the
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
President Ruto congratulated Ngatia on the appointment and said it would be instrumental as
Kenya prepares to host the Kenya International Conference in March 2023.
The ICC is the largest and most representative business organization in the world, with over 45
million members in over 100 countries.
It focuses on rule-setting, dispute resolution, and policy advocacy and works with organizations
like the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.
