Man pleads guilty for beating her wife because of delayed lunch

A 64-year-old man pleaded guilty today on Monday before a Makueni law court for beating her wife because of a late lunch.

Appearing before Resident Magistrate George Sagero, Kyalo Nganga pleaded guilty for causing grievous harm to his wife Elizabeth Kyalo (60).

The accused committed the offence at Kathulumbi Village, Mbooni East sub county on October 11, 2022 at 12.30 pm. The accused was arrested on October 15, 2022.

The court heard that the wife had taken her mother-in-law to hospital where upon returning home she found Kyalo at home and he complained to her that the food had been delayed.

And while the wife was explaining to him that the food had delayed because she had taken her mother-in-law to hospital, Kyalo became angry and started beating her with blows in the head and fell down the floor.

She was rescued by her neighbours after screaming and was taken to Kathulumbi health centre and was referred to Makueni referral hospital where she was treated and discharged.

The case will be mentioned on October 31,2022.
