A senatorial aspirant in Nyamira County, Adams Mochenwa stirred residents of Nyamira with awe after deciding to ride on a donkey to the County Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices for clearance to vie for the seat.
The aspirant said the decision is a sign of humility and an indication that he is ready for selfless service to the people of Nyamira.
“Nyamira County has lagged behind on matters development since the inception of devolution because our leaders are selfish the reason why as a young aspirant I want to bring change and develop our County to the next level,” Mochenwa said.
“The donkey I have rode on to the County IEBC headquarters is to signify tiredness of long suffering from our leaders and readiness to tirelessly serve with humility to deliver development to the people of Nyamira,” he added.
The youthful aspirant said that people of Nyamira have embraced youth leadership the reason why he decided to vie for the seat for he is energetic and ready to offer service to the people of Nyamira.
He was successfully cleared at Nyamira County IEBC offices to vie for County senator’s seat on a Democratic Party of Kenya ticket on August 9.
