The 5,290 candidates in Muhoroni Sub County who registered for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examination and 5,443 others who registered for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination started their exams yesterday.

Muhoroni deputy County Commissioner Mr. Stephen Emojong told KNA that the Center Managers picked the examination papers from the Sub-County headquarters at Chemilil from 6.am and the exercise set off by 8 a.m. in most of the centres.

He said that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure that the examination is conducted in a credible manner after all the relevant officers attended a briefing session from Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) officials.

Mr. Emojong said that there are 11 candidates who are visually impaired and they also sat for the examination.

He asked parents in the area to ensure the environment in the homes remains conducive for the candidates during this examination period. This he said will contribute to the excellent performance of the children in the examination.
