Bomet Business group have expressed confidence that the government of Dr William Ruto will support small business groups through loans that he had pledged earlier on to uplift common mwananchi from the challenges facing them.
Hassan Omar who has been selling clothes and assorted materials in Bomet for the last ten years noted that the country has been grappling with serious economic challenges, which need immediate intervention
He urged President-elect Dr Ruto to drop the cost of living within the first hundred days, a measure, which he termed a resuscitating program, aimed at relieving poor Kenyans who are suffering.
“We are happy and contented that we have a new head of state at a time when life is unbearable in this country, prices of basic commodities keep shooting every day, and we have been forced to shut down our business due to unbearable losses,” explained Omar.
Locals have stressed the implementation of the bottom-up economy, which Dr Ruto promised to use to implement and use it to revive the economy.
Mercy Cherorono, a resident of Longisa said people are over with politics and it is now time for the president-elect to deliver what he promised in his manifesto.
“We are glad that we are through with political activities, we are urging our president to deliver what he promised, and we want a strong economy through the implementation of the Bottom-up model economy,” Cherono stated.
