Teso North UDA leaders express confidence in Ruto’s administration

The United Democratic Alliance members in Busia’s Teso North constituency have expressed confidence in President William Ruto’s government saying they are optimistic he will deliver on his manifesto.

Addressing the press at the UDA offices at Amagoro, the members led by former Angurai North ward representative Maurice Chetambe and others who vied for seats in the August 9 polls on a UDA ticket but lost said they have confidence in Ruto’s leadership.

“Given the election period is now behind us and he is now settling in to the all-important business of governing our beloved country, we would like to assure him of our unqualified support and readiness to push for the implementation of his development agenda at the grassroots.

“We expect a lot from him. We stood by him as a team during campaigns and we shall continue to stand by him as he steers the country to new heights.”

Teso North UDA interim chair Mary Okedi reminded Ruto to fulfill the promises he made to Kenyans, particularly women who voted for him.

Okedi said women are facing a lot of challenges especially in the health sector.

“Most of our health facilities lack medicine. Let him implement the health pledges for the sake of women across the country,”she said.

Andrew Omuse who spoke on behalf of the youth said the youth are facing numerous challenges resulting from unemployment.

“We expect as youths to gain from the hustler fund. We also expect the President to deal with the challenge of unemployed youths.”Omuse stated.
