Young Muslims, Obucuun on the driving seat of fkf busia county league

Young Muslims FC from Samia Sub-county and Obucuun from Teso South have taken Zone A and Zone B lead respectively of the Football Kenya Federation, Busia County League.

Muslims are tops Zone B with 49 points. They will be away to Mabale United on Saturday at Mabale Primary School with the hope of victory to stretch their lead.

Muungano from Matayos South Ward are second on the log with 47 points with a similar goal difference (+24) like Young Muslims.

Muungano will be hoping their opponents falter and they triumph against Nasewa at Buyama Primary School to jump to the top of the log.

Early pacesetters, Itoya FC has been pushed to third position with 46 points from 21 games. They will be away to Young Tigers at Nyakwaka Primary hoping to bounce back to contention.

Obucuun Border FC from Teso South Sub County are on top of Zone A with 42 points from 17 matches. They host Chakol on Saturday at Among’ura Primary School hoping to consolidate their lead.

Asinge, also from Teso South Sub County, is lying second with 34 points. They travel to Musokoto Primary School on Saturday to play Musokoto in what is billed a bruising encounter.

Musokoto suffered a setback last Saturday when they lost to hosts Kamuriai FC at Kamuriai Primary School with Marvin Ikadi netting the first goal in the 6th minute and Johnmark netting the second in the 18th minute.

Mungatsi from Nambale Sub County are third on the log with 27 points.They will be hoping to stun Kamolo at home on Saturday to retain hopes on narrowing Obucuun and Asinge’s leads.

Kamolo which lies 5th with 23 points from 17 matches recently stunned hosts Chakol 2-0 with last season top scorer, Eugene Okello Omudek (Afobe10) and Obeid Khaemba scoring for the winners.
