937 Graduate at UMMA University 

Some 937 students today graduated with various awards from certificate, diploma, undergraduate degree, post graduate diploma and master’s degrees at the Umma University main campus in Kajiado.

The University Chancellor Abbas Gullet conferred the awards at the prestigious higher institution of learning drawing students from across the country.

Speaking during the 5th graduation ceremony, Abbas Gullet who is the former Kenya Red Cross boss said the students’ goals of attaining an education were fulfilled despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic which disoriented routine in all spheres of the society.

“We thank Allah for restoring normalcy since some students had lamented the world epidemic that threatened to dash their dreams of pursuing their dream careers from Law, ICT, Technology, nursing, business studies, Islamic studies, education, management among others,” said the chancellor.

He thanked the graduates of 2022 for their dedication and resilience amid the unfortunate season of Corona scourge noting that their perseverance and hard work will eventually start bearing fruit going forward as they apply their academic skills to better humanity.

The former Secretary General of the Kenya Red Cross said the university is a student centered institution providing quality services in order to produce holistic graduates.

The institution is based on Islamic tenets with its main campus located at the serene parts of Kajiado along Nairobi-Namanga road and welcomes applications from students across all religions.
