Police in Narok East Sub County are investigating an incident where a body of an unknown male adult was found lying on the road at Olasit area, along the Narok – Maai Mahiu highway in the early morning hours.
Narok police commander Kizito Mutoro said the body had injuries on the head and was lying on the left side of the road as you face Maai Mahiu direction.
“We are suspecting the man was hit by a speeding vehicle that took off after the incident. However, we are carrying out investigations to unveil what transpired before the death occurred,” he said.
He said the incident was reported at 4 am by motorists plying along the highway who informed police at Ntulele Police Station.
The body was taken to the Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation awaiting identification and autopsy.
The police boss called on families that have their loved ones missing to report to the police so as to speed the process of investigations.
