A baby boy who had been partly buried alive has been rescued by a farmer at Kondabilet village, Tot ward in Marakwet East Sub County.
The farmer who was tending his farm was attracted by the infant’s cry when he walked to the scene only to find the baby buried in a shallow grave save for the head and raised an alarm immediately.
“He found the baby buried in a hole. The baby boy was immediately rushed to Tot sub county hospital where he was attended to and transferred to AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital for better medication,” confirmed Marakwet East Sub County Police Commander Anthony Njeru.
Njeru said police are investigating the incident and urged the public to assist in tracking the beastly mother.
