Kenya Kwanza to harmonize Identity cards laws

With only 34 days remaining to the general election, the Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate Deputy President William Ruto took his campaigns in Moyale constituency where he held two rallies.

The first rally was held at Sololo while the other one was held in Butiye primary school playground.

Ruto who was accompanied by Kenya Kwanza lieutenants among them Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Garissa town MP Aden Duale promised streamline rules and regulations on issuance of Identity cards and passports if the coalition takes power after the August 9 polls.

“I know issuance of Identity cards in North Eastern and the Upper Eastern has been a bone of contention and if Kenya Kwanza wins during the next general elections which is just round the corner, our government will look into ways on how to harmonize on the issuance of identity cards,” Ruto said

The Deputy President who was welcomed by Moyale aspirant under the Kenya Kwanza coalition Haji Baraka Galma and the Marsabit County senatorial candidate Mohammed Choka also promised to look into issues concerning title deeds within the entire Marsabit County.

Haji had appealed to the deputy president to consider looking for lasting solutions for problems bedeviling Moyale and other areas within Marsabit County when he assumes office.

“As you area aware, your excellency, I think you have seen many people have built very good houses in Moyale but we don’t have ownership documents,” Haji said.

Others in the entourage the Marsabit women representative candidate on Kenya Kwanza ticket Naomi Waqo who appealed to voters to conduct their campaigns peacefully and to maintain peace even after elections.
