Kibabii University Cleared for ISO 9OO: 2015 certification

Kibabii University has been recommended for ISO 9001:2015 certification for the second time consecutively.

ISO is a non-governmental organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, which develops standards and control frameworks that guide industry best practices in fields from information security to car-seat safety.

Kibabii University is audited under the scope of “University Provision of Training, Research and Extension Services for Higher Education.”

Kibabii University was audited by ISO on the basis of its training quality in different scopes that equips students with skills that makes them relevant in the current world.

Kibabii University was awarded after a successful weeklong of first year’s admission in the Campus which was keenly followed and spearheaded by SGS’s Lead Auditor Eng. David Mbindyo.

This is after an audit by General Notary Public, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and Certification Company that is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity.

It is focused on examining academic and administrative processes as per the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard.

According to Mbindyo, the 3-year certification was as a result of the provision of evidence by various audit departments as required by the Standard.

The University Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo lauded both the academic and non-academic staff for ensuring that there was a smooth audit process that led to the certification of the institution.

A team that led the University through the audit included, Prof. Donald Siamba Namasaka a University Management Representative and Directorate of Quality assurance led by the Director Dr. Munir Muganda and Coordinator Dr. Christine Nabwire who was supported closely by Ms. Sophy Waliaula and Mr. Blasio Omulama.

“I must commend the University community for this achievement. Our recertification is a manifestation of what each one of you has put to ensure maximum satisfaction to our customers,” the Vice Chancellor Prof. Odeo said.
