Nyeri senatorial aspirant promises changes if he wins

Narc Kenya, Nyeri Senatorial Candidate, Kabando –Wa- Kabando, has said he has plans to bring changes within the Nyeri County Government, if he wins the August 9th General Election.

Speaking in Nyeri town and Mukurweini, Monday Kabando, promised residents that if elected, he will utilize reports generated by government agencies to fight corruption, publicize auditor’s report to residents, as well as liaise with different associations to fight for workers’ issues.

“People of Nyeri deserve better leadership. It is time to change. Nyeri people deserve a life that is with dignity, order, hope, accountability and opportunities for businesses and employment,” said Kabando

He also pledged to initiate programmes that will empower youth and recreation by launching Senator Kabando wa Kabando Empowerment Foundation.

He also vowed to champion rehabilitative campaign, to redress mental health and drug abuse challenges that have badly affected many young people.

“In my first 100 days, I will ensure there are resources through the Foundation to focus on the aged, vulnerable and low-income population. In addition, I will also work with community welfare offices in the afflicted areas to offer sustainable solutions to the suffering,” he said.

The candidate reiterated his commitment to oversight with courage, fight corruption and help Nyeri people.

“All that Nyeri needs is money meant for health, agriculture, markets, polytechnics, ECD and youth activities remains protected and prudently used,” said Kabando.

Kabando who served as Mukurweini Legislator for two terms from 2007-2017, is on a spirited campaign to convince Nyeri voters that he is the best leader to fight corruption, protect devolution, and represent the underprivileged and the oppressed.
