Six Mawanga killings suspects remanded for two weeks

The six suspects accused of being behind the mysterious Mawanga killings in Bahati of Nakuru County will remain in custody for 14 more days to allow the prosecution complete investigations.

Nakuru Senior Resident Magistrate Charles Ndegwa ordered the six to be remanded to allow the investigators complete their work.

The prosecution intends to carry out DNA analysis and also medical diagnosis to ascertain the mental condition of the suspects who are now facing murder charges.

The six are charged with the murder of four women from Mawanga village in Bahati area of Nakuru on diverse dates between Decembers last year to June this year.

The case was slated for hearing on July 19, this year.
