Members of UDA party in Homa Bay County have congratulated their party leader Dr William Ruto following the Supreme Court ruling that he was duly elected the 5th president.

The members who included the UDA youth leaders in Homa Bay County Otieno Oloo Gor and Mark Okang also commended residents of Homa Bay for maintaining peace throughout the electioneering period.

They also expressed their gratitude to the leader of opposition Raila Amollo Odinga for accepting the verdict of the Supreme Court.

Okang urged the incoming president to reward the UDA foot soldiers in the region with jobs.

Another member of the party Mr Sila Ochieng expressed optimism that the President-elect would deliver according to his manifesto without discriminating any region.

“The president-elect once in office should continue developing the projects started by the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.

Gor also urged elected leaders in the region to work closely with the president in order for the development agenda for the region to be realized.

Some of the concerns they raised include the road infrastructure, sugar industries, farming activities and fishing activities which they asked the incoming president to prioritise.

The party members urged President-elect to hold consultations with opposition leaders like Raila Odinga in order to get the insight on the development priorities in the region.
