From Grass to UN: Victoria Rubadiri’s sister Mabel Rubadiri rises through the ranks in the public affairs industry

Victoria Rubadiri’s younger sister, Mabel Rubadiri, has built her legacy in the public affairs industry. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs, pursued between 2011 and 2014, followed by a Master’s Degree at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Mabel ventured into work as a research analyst at the Grass Company, proceeded to work as an analyst at the Policy Practice Limited in London, and later as a research consultant at the Rift Valley Institute in Kenya. Mabel won the Winihin Jemide Series Grant Prize for her research on women in African Government and Politics. She interned at the United Nations Habitat under the UN Human Settlements Programme, where she climbed into Partnerships Consultant for two years. During the pandemic, Mabel was deployed as part of the Core Response team in the UN-Habitat’s Pandemic Policy and Programmatic Framework. She later worked as a consultant at Nam Lolwe Environmental Consultants in Nairobi before joining Koko Networks, a company that provides solutions using technology to institute cost-cutting measures and improve the quality of life.
