Youth in Homa Bay urged to embrace peace

Hanis Okeyo, a youth from Karachuonyo Sub County, said that it was time for the youth to take the front line in ministering for peaceful co-existence, adding that they needed to make it their mission to oversee that peace is maintained in the county.

The youth in a meeting held on Tuesday in Wang’ Chieng ward in Rachuonyo North Sub County were pushing for peace and love amongst themselves during this campaigning period.

He further urged young voters from the county to come out and vote for Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga as the fifth president.

“As young ODM supporters we are pushing to ensure that we elect Hon Gladys Wanga as our governor, Bensuda as our woman representative, Andrew Odipo as the member of parliament and Moses Kajwang’ as senator in the coming general elections,” he said.

These sentiments were also echoed by Wang’ Chieng ward youth leader, Justo Maguu who called on ODM supporters in the county to ensure that they come out to vote for the ODM aspirants in August 9 elections.

“Let us stand together as youths to ensure all ODM aspirants right from the member of the county assembly to the president are elected in the coming election and by doing this we will be able to prove our loyalty to the party,” Maguu said.

The youth in the county have decided to embrace peace as a way of ensuring their objectives of securing able leadership in the August election is achieved.
